Parents and grandparents across Victoria have responded en masse, expressing deep concern to their State parliamentarians over the Labor Government’s “Rainbow Toolkit”. Jasmine Yuen, Victorian Director of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL), said, “Victorian parents and grandparents, already deeply concerned over the Government imposition of Queer ideology through public schools, are further lamenting their intrusion into local libraries. “The Labor Government now expects librarians to ask children for their preferred pronoun on arrival, followed by labelling them with pronoun badges, pins or lanyards. This is an Orwellian move on steroids. The Labor Government appears determined to remove any safe spaces in Victoria where children can be children, free from gender ideology indoctrination. “With the Government blinded by their pursuit of ideology, it is encouraging that the Coalition is standing with parents for common sense and biological facts.
“Liberal MP for Western Victoria, Joe McCracken, slammed the toolkit as “inappropriate and absolute garbage” calling for the government to scrap the toolkit and show respect for families by leaving gender and identity questions to parents and medical professionals. “Liberal MP for Warrandyte, Nicole Werner, believes the toolkit is culturally insensitive and inappropriate for multicultural communities who do not welcome sensitive topics such as sex and gender being discussed with their children without invitation and parental consent. “Shadow Minister for Equality, James Newbury MP, has made it very clear that a future Liberals and Nationals Government “would not allow this program to continue”.” The ACL congratulates the Coalition for their commitment to scrap the woke toolkit and calls on the Allan Labor Government to follow suit, listen to parents and overturn the Rainbow Toolkits.
