The Olympics: Where Men punch Women in the Face and Score Against Women in Soccer

Plagued by missteps and controversy, new concerns over the Paris Olympics are being raised as the safety of female athletes is potentially put in danger as they compete on an unfair playing field. Wendy Francis, National Director of Politics for the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL), said, “Despite not being allowed to compete at the 2023 World Championships, two male boxers (Imane Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yu Ting from Taiwan) will enter the ring against women boxers in these OIympics. Taking the men’s proven biological physical advantage into account, it is fantastical to imagine this to be a level playing field. It is hoped that serious injury will not be what brings an end to this absurdity. “Australia’s beloved women’s soccer team, the Matilda’s, also found themselves up against male striker (now identifying as a transgender female), Racheal Kundananji, who scored two goals against the Aussies which they finally won in the tight 6-5 Olympic win against Zambia. In 2022, Kundananji was banned from the Africa Cup of Nations tournament after tests revealed testosterone levels above those allowed by the Confederation of African Football.”

Wendy Francis concluded, “The Olympic movement is no longer the inspiration it once was. The motivation is diminishing for young girls to train for years to be the next generation of female sports stars when the very real potential is that, in the end, they could be competing against men. “It’s interesting to note that there are no female Olympians competing in the male competitions.” The ACL calls on the Australian Olympic Committee to show the world how a fair Olympics is conducted when it’s our turn in 2032 by ensuring that women compete against women.
