WHY WE HAVE SUMMITS
Electronic communication has revolutionised the way people of common heart and purpose, network, mobilise and run their ministry. But electronic communication also has its limitations. People never actually see the person they communicate with almost daily via a computer, and so relationships are never built around people, only information.

The Australian Prayer Network leadership has recognised that many on our network may never have actually set eyes upon, let alone spoken to, any of our national leadership team. Regional Summits help in overcoming the gap in relationships between leadership and members, and giving people in a local area the opportunity to meet and network with those in their community or region who have a similar kingdom heart and vision as their own.

WHAT IS A SUMMIT?

Regional Summits are open to anyone to attend. They are led by members of the National Leadership Team of the Australian Prayer Network. They are not a teaching seminar on prayer but rather an attempt to bring biblical prophetic insight into what the Spirit is saying to the Church today. They also include a national briefing where major issues facing our nation today are explained from a spiritual perspective.

WHERE ARE SUMMITS HELD?

A Summit can be held anywhere in Australia where there are sufficient interested people willing to attend. No registration fee is charged for the summit with the Australian Prayer Network bearing full responsibility for costs associated with them. Expenses of a summit are covered by a love offering taken at the Summit towards the work of the Australian Prayer Network. We therefore consider that around 80 people would be the number required to make a 2 day Summit financially viable. A 1 day mini summit option is also available to smaller communities which require only around 25 people to make them viable.

DO YOU WANT TO HOST A REGIONAL SUMMIT?

If you would like to host a Regional, or Mini Summit in your area, email our National Coordinator at apn@ausprayernet.org.au and commence discussions. Even if you are unable to gather 80 people together yourself perhaps we know of other folk in your general area who would be also interested to join with you to make such a gathering viable. Please allow several months before initial contact and the date you wish to hold a Summit as co-ordinating busy diaries requires a considerable lead time.
