POLICIES THAT ALIGN WITH GOD'S WILL FOR OUR NATION
Sunday 15th August
Same sex marriage - Marriage is an honourable state instituted by God, and is the preferred form of traditional family life in Australia. Pray for policies that protect and strengthen the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

Monday 16th August
Family Friendly Policies - The family is the foundational unit of society and needs supporting and strengthening, as the dynamics of family life are changing rapidly in society today. Pray for policies that will promote God’s plan for family life, thus restoring respect and honour between parents and children.

Tuesday 17th August
School Chaplaincy - The Chaplaincy program has proven to be highly successful in meeting the needs of children and teachers. Pray that the value of this Christian based initiative be recognised and continued. Pray for policies that support Chaplains to be the light and life of Christ in both secular and Christian schools.

Wednesday 18th August
Refugees and Asylum Seekers - One of Australia’s redemptive gifts is to give refuge and hope to people fleeing violence in their homelands. Pray for policies, based on compassion not fear, that will clearly distinguish between genuine refugees and illegal immigrants, whilst maintaining strong and credible border security.

Thursday 19th August
Sexualisation of Children - Corporations, advertisers, marketers, and media are sexualising children to sell products and services. Children need to be protected from exposure to inappropriate advertising. Pray for policies that will protect the innocence of childhood and prevent exploitation in all its forms. Pray for stricter advertising standards to be implemented.

Friday 20th August
Economic Policies - Good economic policy will encourage investment, job security, stability and growth in our Nation. Pray for fair and equitable policies that reflect righteousness and justice for all Australians.

Saturday 21st August
Treatment of Indigenous people - The present welfare dependent policies regarding the indigenous people have not adequately dealt with the debilitating effect of long term unemployment, lack of identity or lack of connections to the wider Australian community. Pray that Indigenous policies would provide incentives which enable Aboriginals to prosper in the current Australian economy in society, restoring identity and inclusiveness, meaning and hope.
